Project Luscher - Final

Project Luscher was located in the Thousand Oaks neighborhood of San Jose.  This consisted of an entire kitchen remodel and removing a partial wall between fireplace and dining room.  We enrolled our Structural Engineer to provide precise drawings for a load bearing beam with posts and piers.  We continued the homeowner's existing tumbled travertine floor into the kitchen for a consistent design throughout the house.  We moved windows and sliding glass door for a more open view of the inviting backyard and pool.  We extended the kitchen to create a larger space and was able to install an island with a built in wine refrigerator.  We pulled gas lines for their 48" 6 burner gas range - a chef's dream!  Custom stained cabinets with LED under cabinet lights and tamper resistant under cabinet electrical outlets were included.  As you can see in the custom backsplash design, there are no visible electrical outlets to interrupt the seamless design.  We finalized the design with the help from Geri Hernandez of G Designs.

Week of 06/10/13

The start of Summer at PortItalia Construction has been fast paced and productive.  Below is a look at what we are working on this week.  Photo updates are coming soon!

Project Bialaszewski (San Jose) The homeowners returned to us for their kitchen remodel after we completed their bathroom remodel.  This week we are finishing by hand the custom old world texture to the walls.  Custom cabinets will be installed next week.

Project Duran (Los Gatos) Final inspection for the master bathroom remodel this week.

Project Luscher (San Jose) Granite countertops for this kitchen remodel will be installed. We are installing appliances by end of week with punch lists for next week.

Project Pavlina (Campbell) Moulding is being installed on the new windows throughout the entire house.  Our next project will consist of pulling off interior doors and spray finishing them.

Project Thorne (San Jose) Contract signed for custom kitchen back splash and new granite countertops. The homeowner has selected colorful tiles and materials to give the kitchen an even further personalized design, as well as sketched out a concise drawing of the pattern in mind. We appreciate when homeowners assist in the design of their remodels and cannot wait to work together on creating a truly custom kitchen remodel for them.
